Our Story

Ultreia Technologies was founded in 2023, but it's inception originated in 2011, when I, Mikhaël Bélanger, was an IT project manager desperately trying to find a seasoned C# developer for a critical project. Months passed, stress went through the roof and the project was almost cancelled.

But then, all changed when a young Cuban lady came for an interview, less than 24 hours after touching down in Montreal. She was the one! And we hired her on the spot. That was more than 10 years ago, many years before the now well known labor crisis in Canada. I spent those last 15 years as a manager and IT director, and went through too many of those gut-wrenching and time-consuming recruiting experience. It was time to do something about it.

The light bulb lit when I met a Peruvian company specialized in IT staff augmentation. They had all the elements required to help Canadian companies with their staffing needs, but lacked the local presence that is required by many.

Ultreia Technologies was the solution to connect the needs from North America to the talent of South America.
